A little more about FILA 11
Marcel Dubé was one of the first Quebec playwrights. He has produced more than 300 works for radio, television and the stage. His play "Zone" was first written in 1952 but its characters and themes still ring true to our generations. The play revolves around a group of young people who because of their poor lifestyle resort to criminal activities. Through it all we come to understand that the play is much more about society and relationships than the criminal activities themselves.

Although writing will happen in different ways thoughout the semester, students will more closely look at the structure of short stories with surprising endings.

''Les Parent" is a modern sitcom born in Quebec. Its main characters are a family of five with 2 parents and 3 adolescent boys. The themes, which are family, love and growing up, are explored through humor. Students are sure to further their listening skills in French with this resource.
